Beyond Imagination World – MARRAKECH & RABAT

Marrakech is not so different with Fez, but bigger and more tourists. We met nice people that we did not know that they are really nice, or they just want the tip, or they just want you to buy something in his shop. The funniest thing is most of the people in the souk knows us (2 Indonesians and 1 Chinese). Everytime we walked in the souk there must be someone who said ‘Hey sister, I remember you! Do you remember me?’ or ‘Hey sisters from Indonesia, come back to my shops’. It was funny yet scary when many people just keep calling us and remember us while we didn’t remember them.haha.

Jama El Fna.. The biggest square in Marrakech where all the people come gather (mostly) in the evening when many food stalls are open and surrounded by several big souq.

We had to go to Rabat in the last day to take plane back to Belgium. Rabat is a big city with almost no tourist I saw and mostly the men wear suits. We didn’t go around this city since it was less interesting, we were tired, and we brought our heavy bags. We looked for the airport shuttle bus and the cheap restaurant. We could get a much tasty and better food in Marrakech or Fez with the same price we spent in Rabat. That is a big city. Nothing is interesting and you have to pay more for everything just to step on a big city.
